Privacy Policy
Version 1.2, 5 October 2026
1. The short version
Aftly processes entries locally and does not send them to the Rightsholder. Data may leave the device through exports or system backups you choose to use. The App has no server, no account, no registration and no synchronisation. Emir Khakimovich Vakhitov, as rightsholder, has no technical means of accessing your entries.
2. What you enter
While using the App you may enter: an approximate date the relationship ended, its length, the gender of your former partner, answers to scale questions, daily state check-ins, urge logs and their reasons, written reflections, planned and completed activities, digital-hygiene items, contact logs, and the name and phone number of someone close to you.
All of this is entered voluntarily. No field is required for the App to work, other than those the interface explicitly marks as needed to continue to the next step.
The App does not request or receive access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, calendar, health data or data belonging to other apps.
3. Where it is kept
Everything is stored in a single file inside the App's protected directory on your device.
The file is encrypted with AES-GCM. The encryption key is generated on the device and stored in the system Keychain with an accessibility attribute of this device only, while unlocked. The key is not included in backups that can be restored onto another device.
The encrypted file may be included in system backups according to device settings. The App does not manage these copies; restoring onto another device may not recover entries without the original key.
The file carries a protection class under which the operating system will not release its contents until the device is unlocked.
4. Processing of personal data
Entries are processed on your device to provide the App’s features. The Rightsholder does not automatically receive them. If you voluntarily send entries when requesting support, the recipient will have access to the information you send.
You decide what to enter into the App and are responsible for the security of your device and passcode.
Please note: if you record information about third parties (for example, a former partner), you do so at your own discretion and responsibility. That information likewise stays only on your device.
5. Analytics, advertising and trackers
The App contains no analytics systems, advertising networks, usage counters, advertising identifiers or any third-party SDKs that collect information about the user.
The App does not send crash reports containing your data.
6. Network connections
The App works without a network connection. Links to sources, the policy and support open in your device's browser as a result of your explicit action.
Once you follow it you are on a third-party website, to which this policy does not apply. The Rightsholder does not control such sites and is not responsible for their content or their policies.
Tapping a phone number on the help screen passes that number to the system phone app. You place the call yourself.
7. Biometrics and passcode
If you enable the lock, Face ID or Touch ID verification is performed by the operating system. The App receives only the result - success or failure - and never receives biometric data.
The passcode is not stored. Only a random salt and a slow hash of the code are written to the Keychain, rather than the original code. A forgotten passcode therefore cannot be restored, and the only way forward is to erase the data.
8. Your rights and how to use them
Export: settings offer an export of all your data into a readable JSON file. The exported file is not encrypted. Where it goes next is up to you.
Deletion: settings offer a complete erase - the data file, the encryption key and the stored passcode hash are all destroyed. The action is irreversible.
Deleting the App removes its directory. Keychain items may remain after uninstalling; use the erase function in settings beforehand. Backups and exports you have shared must be deleted separately in the relevant services.
9. Notifications
The current version does not request notification permission or send notifications.
10. Children
The App is not intended for anyone under 18 and does not collect information about children.
11. Changes to this policy
When the policy changes, the version number and date change with it. The current version is always available in the App's settings.
12. Contact
Rightsholder: Emir Khakimovich Vakhitov.
